Hi Anthony and Brenda, the Customer Contact service is now open at St Aldates -
Monday Wednesday and Friday10:30-13:0013:00-14:00 closed14:00-15:30
However we are very keen to encourage people where appropriate and easier for the customers to work online instead or use phone calls. As a test, we are looking at who comes in and why they come in. 90% of those attending do not need to visit at all, have the wrong place, or have already contacted OCC online.
It is also obvious those who come in get confused between our services and County, or just don't understand who the Council are. Information, and education are the key to good value services, getting it right first time and enabling our customers to be digitally included.
I too cannot understand why St. Aldates isn't open, but it seems to be a Council trait as the Town Hall isn't open, Blackbird Leys Community Centre is still closed this denying residents access to services, and although the Leisure Centre is now open it remained closed long after the government gave the green light for gyms etc to re-open!!! All this when the likes of David Lloyd and Pure gyms operated.
As per a High Court Ruling the Blackbird Leys Parish Council reverted to face to face meetings on Tuesday and because we couldn't access the Community Centre we had to use the Glow Hall.
I think that OCC should put out a statement informing the Residents what there future intentions are towards servicing their customers.
